The Plaid Daisy is the only boutique in the Central Illinois area that does custom prosthesis fittings. We work closely with ContourMed, a company who specializes in custom breast prostheses. These fittings are done by obtaining a laser scan of the surgical site and the natural shape of the intact breast. Technicians then use the scans to create a prothesis that contours to each woman's unique chest wall. This prosthesis is the most lightweight product on the market and it attaches to the body with a combination of magnets and skin-friendly adhesives. In addition, there are 16 skin tone options and 8 different nipple designs.

This is great for women who have very active lifestyles and for women who have a difficult time finding a comfortable prothesis. This is also the preferred option for women who have lymphedema, osteoporosis and arthritis. Some private insurance companies may cover this prosthesis!
